FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 5/14/01:
The first of the New Balance sponsored Boston High Performance Series meets is to be held this Saturday night at the Lee J. Gould Track in Waltham, Massachusetts.
Olympians Amy Rudolph (Reebok) and Sinead Delahunty (New Balance) head up a stellar 3000m field, which also features Blake Russell, Nicole Jefferson, Molly Watcke, Rebecca Donahue and Sarah Hahn. USATF 25k Championship runner-up Kristen (Beaney) Chisum will set a 9.00 minute pace.
Mark Carroll (Nike) heads the men's 3000m field. The Irish Olympian is looking to open the season in the 7.45 range.
USATF Indoor runner-up Jen Toomey (Reebok Boston) leads the women's 800m field. USATF Indoor finalist Caitlin Murphy is also entered. 2.06 runner YaSheka Taylor will provide the pace.
Syracuse Charger Lubert Lewis heads a strong men's 800m field. Lewis ran 1.46 in 2000.
